Educating students through innovative learning methods to intervene in multicultural complex contexts

Recognizing the global realities and the urgent need for intervention, the MulticulturalCare project was conceived. The objectives of the project are:

To develop the MulticulturalCare model, comprised of innovative pedagogical practices for nursing students focused on developing their competencies how to intervene with multicultural people and in multicultural contexts attending the health of migrants, asylum seekers and refugees;

Educate nursing students and related key-figures such as teachers, healthcare professionals, and mentors on how to implement the MulticulturalCare Model;

Promote, simultaneously, the application of MulticulturalCare Model in the classes of undergraduate students,

To foster entrepreneurial skills in nursing students, enabling them to conceptualize innovative solutions that tackle challenges in the field of multicultural contexts and interventions related to the health of migrants, refugees and asylum seekers,

To develop collaborative networks between higher educational institutions, health institutions, and non-governmental institutions in order to support the expansion and implementation of the MulticulturalCare Model, as well as to support the development of the innovative solutions designed by nursing students

Create conditions for the continuity of the project, disseminating the MulticulturalCare Model by involving students, teachers, healthcare professionals, and communities from other countries.
