Article 1: Registration and Payment

1.1. By registering for a study day or continuing education course, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted the General Terms and Conditions of UCLL University of Applied Sciences. Certain conditions are overridden by the cancellation terms outlined below.

1.2. Registration for a study day or continuing education course at UCLL University of Applied Sciences is only possible via the designated webpage by fully completing and submitting the online registration form.

1.3. You are officially registered for a study day or continuing education course once you have received the confirmation email from UCLL. From that moment on, the cancellation terms outlined in Article 2 apply.

1.4. Payment is arranged via invoice or student account, unless otherwise stated in the announcement of the study day or course. Invoices are sent after the start of the study day or course and must be paid within the payment term specified by UCLL.

1.5. If a waiting list is used for a study day or course and the maximum number of participants has already been reached, you may register for the waiting list. You will receive a confirmation email clearly stating that you are registered on the waiting list.

1.6. UCLL reserves the right to cancel the study day or course in whole or in part if there are insufficient registrations or in other cases of force majeure. UCLL is not obliged to set a new date. If a new date is scheduled, it is not binding for the registrant.

1.7. If the registration fee is paid by the employer (on behalf of the employee) and the employer fails to pay, the employee/participant is personally liable for the payment.

Article 2: Cancellation

Any absence without prior notice results in unnecessary additional costs for our organization and prevents other interested parties from participating in your place.

The registration fee remains fully due, even if you do not participate or only partially participate in the study day or course, unless you cancel in a timely and correct manner in accordance with the following cancellation terms:

2.1. Cancellation must always occur before the official start of the study day or course via the participant account or by email. The email must be sent to:

  • veiligheidskunde@ucll.be for safety training;
  • peter.vuegen@ucll.be and walter.reulens@ucll.be for refrigeration technology training;
  • acro.automatisering@ucll.be for ACRO training;
  • navormingen@ucll.be for all other continuing education and study days.

2.2. The following conditions apply to cancellations:

  • If cancelled up to 7 days before the start of the study day or course, the registration fee does not need to be paid.
  • If cancelled within 7 days before the start, the participant remains liable for the full registration fee to UCLL.
  • In case of late cancellation for an online study day or course, and thus mandatory payment, access to a possible recording of the session cannot be enforced.
  • If cancellation occurs after the start of the study day or course, or if you are absent or only partially attend, the full registration fee must be paid.

2.3. If you are unable to attend the study day or course, you may, instead of cancelling, be replaced free of charge by someone else, provided any applicable admission requirements are met. You must notify this via email before the official start of the study day or course to:

  • veiligheidskunde@ucll.be for safety training;
  • navormingen@ucll.be for all other continuing education and study days.

2.4. In case of cancellation by UCLL, as described in Article 1.6, the registration fee will be refunded in full or in part depending on the situation, but no additional compensation will be provided to registered participants.

2.5. These cancellation provisions serve as general terms and conditions. UCLL reserves the right to establish specific, deviating, or additional cancellation terms depending on the nature and specific modalities of the activity. In such cases, UCLL ensures that the participant can review these special conditions prior to registration.

Article 3: Applicability of Terms

3.1. By submitting the completed registration form, you declare that you have read and fully and irrevocably agree to these registration terms.

3.2. These terms and the registration form constitute the entire agreement. Changes and/or additions are only possible in writing and by mutual agreement.
