Bridges of Intergenerational Approach
The BETA project aims to facilitate the bilateral exchange of experiences between older and young people supporting seniors’ social inclusion. It creates and promotes digital learning opportunities for both generations encouraging the efforts of the elderly to be active, free and resilient citizens.
The digital needs of the older generation will be investigated in order to develop, test and implement a training kit in a close collaboration between academics, training organizations, local authorities and seniors and promote digital learning activities. In addition to the training kit, intergenerational learning activities (online game based as well as on-site) in Laboratories will take place that impact the skills development of both generations: the elderly will develop skills in technology and English language and will transfer their experience and knowledge, while children will develop horizontal-soft skills: creativity, teamwork, and emotional intelligence-empathy.
