Teacher Education Regenerated

Quality teacher education (TE) is essential for quality education. Evolving societal needs
require a reevaluation of TE, tackling both internal and external challenges. Internally,
integrated teaching dispositions are established as an alternative to fragmented competencybased
teacher standards. Externally, GenAI is put forward as a supportive tool that
facilitates teachers to focus on core tasks. Six TE-institutions sharing UNESCO principles
develop new conceptualizations and practices that meet today's challenges.
