SERVices
A service provision is a customized offering, shaped in consultation with the organization, school, or company. Based on this consultation, we will provide a quote. Below, we provide three examples of services, but you can also consult other research topics on the output page, around which a service provision can also be established.
We deliberately opt for a service provision trajectory spread over time to facilitate sustainable change.
FEATURED PROJECTS
END OF CAREER | |
COMING TO TERMS WHEN YOU RETIREStill 5 years of work? Or just a little more or less? Maybe you have worked for years with passion and dedication? Maybe you are eagerly looking forward to your well-deserved retirement? Suddenly, the day comes when you have to let go of your life's work. This is not an easy step and often brings quite a bit of stress and worry. Not just practically and financially, but also mentally and emotionally. How do you prepare for this new chapter in your life? Because life doesn't end after retirement; it is meant to be 'lived.' What are you invited to in your further life? And for that very reason, we facilitate space and process so that you can 'come to terms' and work with your own end-of-career questions. It is in the unlocked wisdom of this process space that you will find your answers. 'Coming to terms' is a reflective, process-oriented method that supports older workers (the sandwich generation) in their personal growth and promotes their well-being and welfare. We find that this enables people to take more personal responsibility during this end-of-career period, ultimately making it easier for them to take that next step in life. De Living
Towards connection in your teamDe Living starts from a strong belief in the power of stories to create empathy and connection between people from diverse professional and personal backgrounds. Participants can listen to each other's (personal) stories in an equal manner. Through conversation, people experience a commonality that results in connection. Additionally, at De Living, we use narrative methodologies to conduct research. We work together with teams in organizations and companies towards greater connection, a shared mission, vision, and (new) strategic priorities. Visit our website De Living. Let’s roll together
Actively Building High-Quality Support at School TogetherOur mission is to coach, inspire, and support teams working in collaboration. Izabel and Sofie are ready to guide all stakeholders toward more inclusive, and thus, higher-quality education. Contact: izabel.janssens@ucll.be of elisabeth.cans@ucll.be for more information.
Impact of Image and Language
Choose consciously for an inclusive imagery and language within your organizationLanguage and images are more powerful than we sometimes realize. How do you, as a teacher, caregiver, employee, stay resilient in a rapidly changing world? What images do you use in your lessons, in your communication? How do you speak with and about young people, colleagues, and others? What uncertainties do you experience in this regard, and how do you deal with them? In this workshop, we engage in conversation about images and language using concrete examples. We critically examine our own communication and the messages it conveys. We work on raising awareness and sensitization from our own practices. Over the course of 2 sessions of 2 hours (or 1 session of 3 hours), we will work together. We ask participants to bring their own visual materials to the workshop. Contact sofie.vanpelt@ucll.be for more information.
Repaper | |
recycle, re-use, responsibleInteresting for all organizations, schools, and businesses looking to reduce their paper waste pile and aiming for sustainable and socially responsible entrepreneurship. UCLL provides a tailor-made program: we start with an intake interview to explore your needs. Next, we assess which custom enterprise or social partner (day center) is the most suitable. Then, we get to work, entirely tailored to the company. This way, organizations, schools, and businesses can receive a product made from old paper that can be reused by teachers or trainers. Be sure to check out this video to see which products can be made, or ask Wim your question. Contact wim.wiertz@ucll.be for more information.
EmpathETIC FRENCH | |
FOR HELPERS AND SERVICE PROVIDERSDuring the training, we work with concrete examples of conversations with the target audience (parents, clients, children, patients) and practice key phrases that align with the basic conversation skills of empathic dialogue. Over the course of 6 sessions of 3 hours, we practice conversation skills and techniques in French based on nonviolent communication, solution-focused communication, active listening, and empathetic communication. Colleague Sofie Van Pelt co-authored the book 'Empathetic French for helpers and service providers' and is always available to answer any questions you may have on this topic! Empathetic Dutch
FOR HELPERS AND SERVICE PROVIDERSThis course is aimed at non-native healthcare providers (required starting level: CEFR B1) who often interact with Dutch-speaking patients. We start from concrete conversations with different target groups (such as children or the elderly) and focus on conversational skills and empathy. Over 6 sessions of 2 hours each, we introduce relevant vocabulary (including key phrases for each situation) and grammar, and practice through role-playing. Empathy, active listening, and empathetic communication are central to the course. Huis voor Gezondheid is the sponsor of this initiative. Contact Katrien at katrien@huisvoorgezondheid.be for inquiries in Brussels and the Brussels outskirts. Contact Kim Luckermans at kim.luckermans@ucll.be for inquiries outside Brussels.

resilienCE online | |
LIMITING ONLINE RISKS THROUGH EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENTAre you encountering challenges with cases related to online risks? Taking a perspective from the framework of emotional development can provide relief. Through the project 'OverSeo,' UCLL has developed a framework with tips for guides of individuals with a disharmonious developmental profile regarding online risks. The starting point is the influence of (the level of) emotional development, with the aim of preventing or guiding risky social media use through preventive or curative measures. The research team supports various cases related to online risks (online sexuality and online aggression) from the perspective of emotional development. Additionally, they also offer general training on handling online risks from the perspective of emotional development. If you wish to make use of our expertise, you can always contact us through nathalie.drooghmans@ucll.be of pieter.frederix@ucll.be. |
